Standards used

We have given our best to make this website interoperable. Therefore, we refrain from features that are supported by only one or a few browsers and do not attempt to correct misbehavior in browsers due to special adaptation.

It's our strategy to follow the official standards, as propagated by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Extensible HyperText Markup Language (XHTML 1.0)

These pages have been created in XDOC (XML), and then converted into XHTML. A click on the XHTML logo sends the address of our home page to an XHTML validator. The valiator then loads the link and analyzes the page.

Valid XHTML 1.0!

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS 2.0)

Those XHTML pages are almost free of formatting details. In their place, style sheets are consequently applied. Even those "cascading style sheets" can be checked regarding their correctness.

In addition to the standard style "bmap4j" we also provide a "print" style. The browser automatically selects this style when you print a page. The navigational menues are hidden as a result.

If you prefer this style for legibility reasons, you can change it in the browser. In Firefox, you can find the style under menu "view - website style".

Valid CSS!
